Scott Ham, CEO

Scott Ham is a veteran executive in the insurance, Insurtech, and startup space, Scott joined Pinpoint to lead the organization through extraordinary growth. Pinpoint is fundamentally changing risk selection by moving it to the very top-of-funnel, well before eligibility or renewal decisions, to enable intelligent growth strategies.  In a radical departure from current risk selection practices, Pinpoint is pushing P&C insurers into the future – identifying unpriceable risks by operationalizing deep learning, big data, and behavioral economics.

Previously, Scott served as the President and CEO of Transamerica’s life, P&C and non-life business. He provided strategic vision and leadership to the global organization. Scott oversaw day-to-day operations and management of over 6,000 employees, $1.6 billion in new sales and over $6 billion in overall premium. Scott was extensively involved with Insurtech startups as a strategic advisor for McKinsey & Co. In addition, he led a small commercial insurance SaaS platform that made possible real-time underwriting and pricing decisions through cutting-edge machine learning analytics and 3rd party data. Scott obtained his Bachelor of Arts in History from the Pennsylvania State University. He also holds a Juris Doctorate degree from Pepperdine University School of Law.
