Pinpoint Predictive is the leading risk selection platform for P&C insurers to compliantly leverage unmatched person-level intelligence prior to eligibility and renewal decisions to fast-track profitable growth and improve loss ratios. Conducting the SOC 2 Type II audit and achieving compliance in our organization is critical for Pinpoint, as we actively work with P&C insurers of all sizes.
“Pinpoint leverages a powerful combination of behavioral economics data, trillions of behavioral predictors, and deep learning to provide the earliest and most accurate risk predictions in the industry,” said Scott Ham, CEO of Pinpoint Predictive. “Our commitment to protecting the privacy of our clients and their customers is fundamental to our success. Achieving the SOC 2 Type II certification is a significant milestone that offers additional peace of mind to both us and our clients.”
What is SOC 2 Type II and why is it important?
SOC 2 specifies how organizations should manage customer data.
The standard is based on the following Trust Services Criteria: security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy.
Depending on its specific business practices, each organization can design controls that follow one or more principles of trust. These internal reports provide organizations and their regulators, business partners, and suppliers with important information about how the organization manages its data.
The SOC 2 Type II certification is the result of a complete review, conducted by outside auditors, designating that Pinpoint maintains and follows effective controls over its data. Large organizations adopt SOC 2 Type II as a rigorous standard and expect the same from their partners.
Pinpoint Predictive stands at the forefront of fairness and compliance in AI, data privacy, insurance regulation, and security. In addition to receiving SOC 2 Type II certification, we also underwent a rigorous third-party audit of our behavioral predictors, algorithms, methods, and outcomes by Luminos Law, a top legal firm helping the world’s largest and most innovative businesses manage privacy, fairness, security, and transparency of AI and data.
